What areas do you serve?
Keeley is based in Portland, Maine and works across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Projects in other states are reviewed case by case.
What kind of work do you do?
Three core service categories: electrical (commercial and industrial construction, renovation, design-build, generators, fire alarm, medium voltage), site work (excavation, grading, underground conduit, site lighting), and private utility installation management. We coordinate closely with the region’s utilities on interconnections, but all of our installation work is performed on private systems.
Do you also do residential work?
Yes. While much of our work is commercial and industrial, we take on residential projects across our service area with the same licensed crews and the same standards. Send us a general inquiry and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Maine Master Electrician license MS60021131, New Hampshire Electrical Business license 0748C, and Massachusetts license 9081-EL-A1. Keeley is fully insured and bonding is available for projects that require it. Details are on our Capabilities page.
How do I start a project?
Use the project intake form if you have a defined project: share the scope, timeline, and site details and we route it to the right person. If you are still gathering information, the general inquiry form is a quicker way to reach us.
How fast will I hear back?
Project inquiries receive a response within three business days. Career applications receive a response within five business days.
What does working with Keeley look like?
The same structure applies to every project, whatever the size: inquiry, budget and scope, pre-construction, mobilization, milestone updates with scope review, and project completion with closure. Every stakeholder stays aligned from first call to final closeout. See how we work.
Do you handle utilities beyond electrical?
Yes. Our utility and site divisions handle waterline extensions and taps, well lines, septic system design and installation, and licensed liquid propane and natural gas system work, alongside private electrical line construction. All installation work is performed on private systems, coordinated with the region’s utilities where required.
Do you offer trucking or operated equipment services?
Yes. Material trucking with lowbed and tag trailer service, and operated equipment services including aerial lifts, skid steers, forklifts, and compaction equipment. A rate sheet is available on request. Send us a general inquiry.
Do you work with general contractors?
Yes. General contractors have been core to our work since 1978. If you are qualifying Keeley for a bidders list, our Capabilities page carries licensing, insurance, bonding, and operational capacity, and our capabilities statement is available on request.
Are you hiring?
We list every role that makes up a Keeley crew on our Opportunities page. Not every position is actively hiring at any given moment, but we are always accepting applications. As we grow, we hire from the applications we already have.
